The McHenry Township Fire Department recently took advantage of a valuable training opportunity for its firefighters and EMTs at 4105 West Crystal Lake Avenue and 812 North Mill Street, the future site of Taylor Place Apartments. Several buildings on the site are set for demolition before Henry Bros. Co. begins construction on the new 73,370-square-foot development.

Taylor Place Apartments will feature 46 three-story apartments, four two-story townhomes, free-standing garages, and additional amenities. An existing historic structure on the site will be renovated and repurposed into a resident community center, fitness center, business center, and leasing office.

The project, designated as workforce housing, is being developed by Northpointe Development II Corporation and Housing Opportunity Development Corp. (HODC), with Knothe & Bruce Architects as the project architect.
