Spruce Village
Spruce Village, a three-story, 32,900 S.F. wood-frame structure provides supportive, affordable housing to adults with physical and mental disabilities. It features 33 one-bedroom and 11 two-bedroom units on a one-acre site. The building is equipped with a camera surveillance system, intercom access for guests, a community room, laundry facilities, and professional staff that is available 24/7.
Henry Bros. Co. provided comprehensive preconstruction services and support over a two-year period for the $8,075,000 development while the Skokie, Illinois-based owner/developer secured funding and municipal approvals.
Funding was provided by IHDA, FHLB of Chicago, Housing Authority of Cook County, Village Bank & Trust, and National Equity Fund. This is HBCo’s fifth LIHTC project.
